Eve Maughan was born November 22, 1982, in London England. She is the daughter of Sharon and Trevor Maughan. Eve has two brothers younger than her: Jack as well as George and was raised between the United Kingdom and Los Angeles United States. She went to Bedales School before taking her A Levels at Westminster School London. While on a gap year she played at Beverly Hills Playhouse. Then she attended St Catherine's College Oxford, she was a student of English. She appeared in the student productions An Ideal Husband Animal Crackers, Scenes from an Execution (which was performed in a tour to Edinburgh Fringe Festival), as well as The Colour of Justice while in Oxford. Eve has appeared in BBC dramas, including The Rotters Club Poirot & Hawking as well as the 2004 movie Stage Beauty. Eve was a key character in the 2006 films Starter for 10 as well as Big Nothing. She and Simon Pegg both used American accents. Eve devoted a substantial portion of the first quarter of 2006 working in India for a drama show known as Losing Gemma. Eve was on stage in two Trevor Nun productions. Eve appeared in Rock n Roll a Tom Stoppard new play in the Royal Court Theatre, and later reprised the role on Broadway in 2007. Her performance was nominated for the best actress supporting award during the Whatsonstage.com Theatregoers' Choice Awards. The actress played Roxane in the Chichester Festival Theatre. The actress was born into an ethnically diverse family with an Indo British father Anthony Mitra of British descent and a mother Nora Downey. English actress Guyan Mitra is the third of her siblings. She has an older sibling Jason Mitra. The actress has a younger brother who is an accomplished writer of travel, and his articles appear on the pages of Lonely Planet magazine and The Sunday Times.
