Laura Linney is an American actor, who became famous for her portrayal of powerful but fragile characters. When she was a child, spending summers at her father's house her interest grew for the stage. While at Brown University for a while, then later at Juilliard School to study acting. In just two short months after graduating she began her Broadway-based career. The following year she made her debut in film and television. In the years since, she's been appearing in a variety of films, TV plays and stage productions. There were many awards she received over the course of her career which included the four Primetime Emmy Awards and two Golden Globe Awards. In spite of numerous awards the theatre is still her first love and she is still appearing on stage and screen.
